Are you looking for a fun and rewarding summer job that will help protect the beautiful lakes and rivers in Oneida County and beyond?

The Oneida County Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Program has several openings for the summer of 2023. These positions are a great way to help protect our beautiful lakes, rivers, and wetlands from the harmful impacts of AIS. Applicants will gain valuable, hands-on, field experience that will benefit future careers in water resources, natural resources, conservation, or environmental education.

Aquatic Invasive Species Program Assistant
  • Limited Term Employee
  • One position available.
  • $15.50 per hour, 40 hours/week.

Clean Boats, Clean Waters Watercraft Inspector
  • ​Limited Term Employee
  • Three positions available.
  • $16.00 per hour
  • 32-40 hours/week including most weekends and holidays.
