Lake Minocqua Project
Estimated Cost: $65,000+
Completed: Spring, 2019

This project consisted of seawall removal, protecting 450' of lake frontage with rock rip rap, planting 5 trees, 38 shrubs, and 616 groundcover plants.  Planting was done in the Spring of 2019.
WJFW-TV Channel 12 did a piece on this site.  You can watch it by clicking on the photo above. When rock rip rap is sent by chute to the shoreline about 50 feet away, as seen in this video, it helps to protect the landscape and the shoreline.  The contractor put in all the rock by hand.

(Small Correction in the story:  Contractors are hired by landowners, not Oneida County.  The County designs and coordinates the project.)
