Completed Projects 2022
Projects on this page include designs that were completed and
on the landscape in 2022.

2020-03 - Wisconsin River - Phase I
Estimated Cost: $94,425.00

Plantings:  Completed in Spring, 2022

A portion of this project was completed in 2021. Root wads, stream barbs and rock rip rap were installed on 200 feet of frontage along the river.    However, cold fall temperatures forced contractors to do the plantings in the spring of 2022.

Root wads and stream barbs are placed to help redirect the flow of the river to help prevent erosion.  Adding these will protect water quality, increase fish and wildlife habitat, and stabilize the river bank.

2021-01 - Willow Project #1
Estimated Cost: $41,303.00

Together, the 2021-01 and 2021-02 projects consist of placing 180’ of rock riprap and vegetated soil-filled bags along lakeshore.  A total of 10-18 courses of bags will be constructed beginning at top of rock (elevation 90.6’) and ending at 99.8’.  Bags will be vegetated with a diverse mixture of groundcover and shrubs.

This will stabilize the bank and protect water quality.  Oneida County Land & Water Conservation has field oversight to insure minimal disturbance to existing vegetation, slope, and upland areas.
