Clean Boats, Clean Waters Watercraft Inspection Program
Since 2004, the Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) Watercraft Inspection program has provided an effective, easy, and indispensable method for trained watercraft inspectors to help prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) at the landings. Though the CBCW program, inspectors check boats and trailers for AIS before boaters launch and before they leave a waterbody. Inspectors also teach boaters, anglers, and water enthusiasts how and where AIS are most likely to hitch a ride into new waters and the steps to prevent the spread of AIS.
If you would like to become a watercraft inspector, or need a refresher before the opening of fishing season, please see the training schedule below or contact Stephanie Boismenue at sboismenue@oneidacountywi.gov
